Ben's Canteen in Wandsworth was an enjoyable experience. I like the vibe but the food is a little bit expensive and I did prefer it under it's previous owners as "Out of the Blue"

Had a really lovely night with three friends at Bens Canteen. Its got a great relaxed atmosphere, staff couldnt have been friendlier, and the wine list and food was good. Would thoroughly recommend it and will be back again.

Had a great evening with three friends at Ben's Canteen, SW11. We booked early (7pm), but the place filled up as the evening wore on. Mains were fab (we didn't bother with starters); and the wine recommendation was good (wines aren't cheap, but they're probably worth it); pudding got a few raised eyebrows from the assembled girly diners, but was good. No-one ever came to this restaurant (or its predecessor) to visit the toilets!!!

I went to Ben's Canteen in Battersea on a Wednesday night. It was such a nice space. The food was delicious. The staff were really nice and friendly. I am definitely going back very soon.

Ben's Canteen in Battersea has a great brunch offering, service was quick and food was tasty. I would go back.

We had an early supper here (6.30) on a monday adn it was lovely and quiet. Service was good and friendly but not too friendly. Food was great and menu was generally very interesting and a break from the norm. reasonable value on the two course and wine for £20 but would have been fairly expensive I think on full price.

Nice little local restaurant with great food and service to match! Will go back for sure.

Had high expectations for Ben's Canteen in London but not really the best place for lunch more breakfast place and burger way too much meat. Wine also very pricey.

I booked for 2 at Ben's Canteen (London) for a Saturday dinner, and found both the food & service to be of top quality. We ordered the parsley cod cheeks & deep fried pigs cheeks for starters, both very tasty but the portions a tad bit small for the price charged. The mains were better value, we ordered the BC Burger which came with chips and the British Beef Board, both reasonably sized, and very tasty. Would definitely come back again, as food was good, and staff friendly.

Excellent food. Amazing meat, well presented and well cooked. Wine selection interesting and something different to choose from (and well priced). The £25 a la carte deal was less helpful.... several dishes (not just those indicated at booking) excluded and we were not allowed to move off the deal selections to the normal a la carte. Service was great when we arrived, friendly and informative.Later it was appallingly slow. We left without coffee.

Ben's Canteen is a great local restaurant. I have had brunch here before which was absolutely delicious but not dinner. We shared deep fried cod cheeks in lager for starters, delish! Then i had the pork belly, which was nice enough but the crackling wasnt freshly made so lacked the crunch and the sauce was really really salty. Rolo tart with spearmint icecream was a nice end to the evening. Service was slow, as the restaurant got busier we had to wait for over 10mins for our mains to be cleare.

Ben's Canteen in Wandsworth was pretty good - the food was scrummy, the waiter was extremely polite and helpful and there was a nice ambience to the place. Saying that the service was a bit 'forgetful' ... they didn't have our booking and a few times we had to remind them to bring things we'd asked for. Saying that overall a good night. Great beer selection!

The trip to Clapham for Ben's Canteen was absolutely brilliant. We were welcomed into the restaurant by a beaming Scottish waitress who was charming and attentive.

Rather than get mains we went for a selection of starters and would thoroughly recommend that method as every starter we ordered was absolutely delicious. The pickled vegetables looked so small, dainty and delicate but packed a punch of flavour that could smash you round the face!

Fantastic service, great food

Great food. Good beer selection

Excellent food and service. The perfect place for casual food and drink with friends. Definitely the best local. I highly recommend.

What a little gem of a place, I was very very happy with this place. Everything here was just right, the way the place is done out, the spaces between tables and the layout are very appealing. The menu was excellent, lovely choice and accompanied by a delicious sounding specials board. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and fresh. I went with my girlfriend and a female friend and they were both impressed. This is definitely somewhere I will return to.

Lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. A fantastic British menu. The burger is substantial, the oxtail risotto lovely and the pork belly is an absolute winner. Good, honest food. Definitely want to try the scotch egg when it's in stock.

Ben't Canteen on St John's Hill was a very enjoyable experience ... great food and wine. A lovely relaxed environment that is more wine bar than restaurant but with a gastro pub twist. Definitely worth a visit and I will definitely go back.

Very enjoyable meal at Ben's canteen. As always, interesting dishes on the menu which live up to expectations in taste and appearance. Love the atmosphere - so friendly and relaxed. Service was also great, our waiter gave a real impression of loving his job and being proud of what they were offering. Interesting pairing of beers to dishes on the menu. A definite favourite.
