The bull and last Highagte road is an excelent pub and dining room. Staff are great and food is top notch. 10/10 well done guys

We had a very pleasant evening at the Bull & Last. The menu is very inventive and has a good selection. The cod and clams were particularly delicious. Very good wine list. Will definitely come back.

Three of us enjoyed a leisurely lunch at The Bull & Last, London NW5 this week. This gastropub is a real find, with really interesting and well thought out food. To start with we shared a fish platter which was a delicious selection of different seafood, all well prepared and tasty. Main courses were excellent, as were the two puddings we shared. All in all a very good venue - we will definitely be back.

Second time at the bull and last and had the Sunday roast. Atmosphere was great, service good too, however compared to a few other roasts (eg hawksmoor) beef rib roast was average.

Great food, and service. The only slight negative is that the tables downstairs are too close to each other, meaning that your chair is frequently bumped into as the serving staff pass. A small price to pay for the superb food though.

Beautifully cooked food, very good ambience. Highly recommended.

The Bull & Last in on Highgate Rd never fails to impress. A great pub serving great food. This was about the 4th time I have been with a group of friends and everyone was happy with their meals. Please sir, can I have some more? Price might be the only downside, but for the area and the quality it is pretty good.

The Bull & Last - Highgate

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon at the Bull & Last. We sat upstairs, which was very pleasant and a bit less buzzy than downstairs. We each had a starter and a sharing board each as our main -- my friend had the meat and I had the seafood. Finished with a scoop of their homemade ice cream. The food was very well executed and the staff was very knowledgable. We were able to relax and let them know when we were ready to order and leave. Will definitely return!

Smaller than expected, thd Bull and Last has the feel of a real pub that has got so good at food it has taken over. Real ales were available and great and I was able to sit at the bar to digest the menu. Food was fantastic, rich fish soup with real depth of flavour, amazing home made bread and the finest charcuterie board made for a memorable experience. Not cheap but decent value for quality.

Went to the Bull & Last for dinner last night. Made sure we were upstairs as it can get quite rowdy in the bar. The room is great. It has everything you want from a gastro pub. Wooden tables, candles and a cosy atmosphere. Menu was good but my problem was that my starter was what I'd normally have for a main course so although I was desperate to try some of the desserts (all of which sounded amazing) I just couldn't fit it in. Having said that all that I did eat was imaginative and very tasty.

The Bull & Last, London is excellent. We had Sunday lunch there and it was faultless. The beef was creamy and succulent, the roast potatoes crisp and the Yorkshire pud big and crisp. The wine list does not break the bank and the salted chocolate truffles finished it all off in a way that screams "come back for more"! The service was cool (in a good way), efficient and friendly, even in a very busy service.

Our lunch at The Bull & Last in Highgate, London was truly excellent. The atmosphere was friendly and buzzy yet, refreshingly, not too noisy! - making it easy to chat at the table! The staff were efficient and friendly. Although we only had one course each, what we ate was delicious. We looked at the desert menu and it was truly tempting but sadly I had eaten enough! I look forward to going back soon.

Food is delicious and good sized portions. However, I thought most of the main courses were quite expensive. Tables for two are very small and cramped.

The Bull & Last, London - nice ambience, friendly service, good food

We went for a Valentine's meal and had only a set menu. The smoked eel starter salad was very enjoyable, the sharp tastes of the salad and dressing worked well with the smoked eel and moist battered cod. The Chateaubriand was slightly rarer than we expected but delicious with a good bearnaise sauce and thick cut chips. Great chocolate/plum tart to finish with. Cosy surroundings and warm, attentive staff.

Some of our party came late however we were never rushed. Our server was great and gave us a heads up for any delays in the food. The roast beef was great and so was the chicken. Great place to have Sunday lunch.

The bull and last Kentish town certainly has a lot of competition what with some new venues opening. I must say that it is by far and beyond the best in nw5.

We went to The Bull & Last in Highgate on Sunday for the first time after a friend recommended it. We were glad we had made a reservation since it was very packed. We felt however really well looked after by the waiters there and enjoyed the buzz . I had a parsnip soup and Sunday roast which was delicious, the beef cooked to perfection. Presentation was great. We also tried their home made ice cream which was such a treat. We paid £76 for 2 courses each, dessert and drinks. We must go back.

Food was absolutely superb, bit it seemed like the kitchen was struggling a bit with a full restaurant to serve. We were in no hurry though, so thoroughly enjoyable

bull and last, kentish town. excellent as always. quiet, family pub, excellent food, friendly and accommodating service. special birthday cake with candles for the birthday girl.

The food at the Highgate gastropub was excellent and gourmet quality. Service was friendly and prompt. The ambience in the candlelit restaurant was warm and relaxed. My only quibble was with the price that was a little high for a pub, albeit one with high quality food. Our bill came to £97 for olives, bread and Scotch eggs to share as starter, 2 courses each and 3 glasses of wine between us.
