We had a brilliant night at Bar Aguadulce in Brighton. It doesn't look like much from outside and the decor is not warm and cosy but the food and the service are both excellent. We had a variety of dishes to share and they were all fantastically tasty - I particularly enjoyed the suckling pig! It wasn't just all the standard tapas but some interesting and unusual options too. The waiting staff were friendly and happy to make suggestions. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

Ate at Bar Aguadulce in Brighton before going to the theatre. We decided to have a selection of Tapas between 2 of us, all were very good especially the battered asparagus and the squid rings. Portions were very generous and so we struggled to eat it all

Great food and friendly service.... Wonderful flavours and you will love their potatoes. The lobster is fantastic.

We had a fantastic meal at Agua Dulce in Brighton. Friendly staff, a great selection of tapas and a lively, authentic atmosphere. Highly recommend for quality Spanish food.

Food was excellent, staff was very attentive and quick. I felt like I was in Spain there and then... I never get tired of this place!

We visited Bar Aguadulce in Brighton on a Friday evening. We have eaten from the main menu before, but decided to try the tapas. Staff are very attentive and happy to help with menu choices. Although the restaurant was very busy, service was excellent as was the food. Good lively atmosphere

Bar Aguadulce in Brighton

Was a superb place to have dinner. The staff was very professional and quick, we did not have to wait a long time for our food to be served...and the food was scrumptiously delicious! The food took us back to our travels in the Andalusian region. It felt as if we were actually in Sevilla or Cadiz etc... It was the best money I have spent in a long time and I will definitely go back.

Bar Aguadulce Brighton - great food, superbly cooked. Had a selection of tapas and a main course which 2 of us shared. Attention to detail and unusual combinations made for a well-balanced and delicious meal.

Bar Aguadulce 10th September 2011 My husband and I ate here for our anniversary during a weekend away to Brighton. It is a nice initmate venue and the service was spot on. We ordered a number of different tapas dishes (too many to finish as the portions are quite large!), all of which were very tasty, especially the Mussels. All in all, great food and good value for money, down to earth and unpretentious.

We had an excellent meal on a busy Saturday evening. We chose from the 'raciones' (tapas) menu. Whilst at first glance there doesn't appear to be lots of choice, on closer inspection there is plenty to please all palates. Everything tasted great, the main highlights were gambas pil pil and the delicious spicy potato dish. Free baskets of fresh bread given throughout. Good service, and less than £20 a head for heaps of food, a bottle of house rioja and sparking water. Highly recommended!

Scallips and chorizo was amazing. Alsi try the mussels with paprika.

Bar Aguadulce, Brighton. Went here as we didn't fancy a chain restaurant. The food was amazing! The tapas menu had lots of different things that were very fresh and cooked to perfection. Will defintely be going back!

We went as a group to Bar Aguadulce on a Saturday evening. The place was busy but the service was friendly and efficient. We all shared a selection of the tapas dishes. These were generally good - it was nce to have an authentic selection that you wouldn't find in other chain Spanish restaurants. Would recommend.

Wow such yummy tapas. Sangria and cava delicious. Staff really nice. This would be regular place to go if lived a bit nearer!

Bar Aguadulce in Brighton has a good choice of food and great service. I would say that it's a more informal place to eat and wasn't quite what I would expect from the number 1 restaurant in Brighton according to Trip Advisor. However, the food was good and definitely more authentic than most Spanish restaurants I've been to in England. I would also like to thank them for giving our party a complimentary bottle of bubbly as we were out for my brother's last meal before he got married.

Bar Aguadulce, Brighton

The menu was varied and more interesting than usual tapas including cuttlefish, pigs' trotters and Moroccan lamb. The service was generally good although the waiter got our wine wrong and wasn't that happy about changing it. Tasty food, served at good intervals and the portion sizes were good. Wouldn't recommend the pigs' trotters! But the squid, gambas pil pil, slow cooked lamb and cuttlefish were very nice. Good for groups (there were 6 of us) and couples.

Good service, nice people. Four of us had varied tapas and it was mostly good food. Tortilla was over salty though. We had a jolly time although the sudden overwhelming smell of dettol wafting through the place at end of meal was most unpleasant.

We went to Aguadulce Brighton for a family meal. We shared 3 raciones between 4, excellent mussels, calamares and whole prawns. We had lamb cutlets and chicken with creamy almond sauce, fresh vegetables included which were tender, attractively presented and very generous portions. Two more who arrived late were served quickly as we had to leave early for a comedy show and unfortunately no time for dessert. We all liked this restaurant, simple straightforward, generous and sincere.Unusual in Brighton

Had read rave reviews of Aguadulce so was pretty excited to try it out. I'm a vegetarian so maybe we missed out on the best of what they do but our selection of veggie tapas was nice, but not exceptional and we left with a general sense that they could've tried harder - presentation, decor, bathrooms, etc. Maybe relying too much on the waiters who are absolutely lovely, charming and vaguely reminiscent of Manuel from Faulty Towers!

Very warm welcome, Spanish people on another table, always a good sign. Complimentary small egg onion and pea salad. 3 of us chose to share clams in white wine, potato aioli, lamb chunks in sauce and prawns piri piri accompanied by crusty bread and the house red. All the food was nice but not outstanding, just a few tweaks and it could have been - the wine a tasty rioja. Would go again for the raciones, but not sure about trying the more expensive mains based on this experience.

We visited Bar Aguadulce in Brighton on the evening of Brighton Pride, we had the most brilliant evening - the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent, despite being full (which added to the atmosphere). We had taken other family members with us who were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed their evening.

great service from start to finish lovely food

bar aguadulce, brighton. very authentic feeling spanish decor and staff. we had a selection of starters like a tapas and most of them were very tasty except for the spiced lamb which was a little tough. tasty food and fast service though the dishes were slightly greasy which you might expect with tradtional spanish food.

First visit to Bar Aguadulce, a charming tapas bar, nr the seafront in Brighton. A vast menu of mixed traditional & unusual dishes. We chose several tapas dishes, a flavoursome tortilla, served with aioli, albondigas (meatballs), cod, spinach, bean & chickpea stew, spanish ham & manchego cheese & gambas pil pil (prawns in sizzling chilli & garlic sauce) All were excellent, as was a bottle of white wine. Icecream with red wine was the unusual dessert. Good friendly service, we will be back!

Really enjoyed the meal, great atmosphere, very authentic, the food was lovely, staff were friendly and the price was reasonable! We will definately be returning to AquaDulce in the future.

Bar Aguadulce, Brighton - Very friendly atmosphere, good food and great service. Will definitely be visting again on my next trip to the coast!

Really good and very authentic Spanish food, from a Spanish team originating from the same region of Spain where I lived for a time. Great choice and a nicely informative menu. NIce little venue, cosy rather than poky, good atmosphere, efficient friendly service and every one of the 10 dishes we ordered was very good indeed. Would certainly return, and recommend.
