San Carlo in Birmingham was brilliant. The location was central and the restaurant was immaculate. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The food itself was delicious. The range of food on the menu was great, with something to suit all tastes (and all price ranges). I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an evening meal in Birmingham.
Very good food as usual from the San Carlo chain. Huge list of specials and fresh seafood. They forgot our drinks order which was the only downside.
Went to San Carlos last night and it was faultless. Great food, great ambience, great service. I would highly recommend it - it's definitely one of the best kept secrets in town!
Have eaten here before and it didn't disappoint. The service is always swift, friendly, courteous and professional without being overbearing. Food is always of an excellent standard, the fresh seafood a delight and the pasta is perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced, never tried the pizza but they look good! Not a surprise that the famous regularly frequent this establishment (as displayed by the pictures on the wall) including Italians! If thats not a good sign I don't know what is!

San Carlo Birmingham first class
Visited this restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday with a work colleague. A classic British Italian - like you seldom see anymore. The tournedos Rossini was huge and delicious and the calf's liver with sage melting and rich - go out of a sense of nostalgia if for no other reason. Wine reasonably priced too.
It was very busy as it was saturday night. My overall experience was not as good as previous visits to San Carlo.

San Carlo in Birmingham - we went for a birthday meal and we had a pleasant greeting, we ordered drinks and then shortly our starters arrived, which was really nice, our main meals, which were chicken and fish were also very nice, and the desserts was fabulous. Service was very good and the waiters were very attentive.A little expensive but worth it and we wood go again

San Carlo, Italian restaurant, Birmingham. The surroundings and the restaurant ambience was very nice. As with previous experience the food is good; unfortunately as with previous experience the service was direct and not welcoming at all. The waiting staff were impatient and most more than a little conceited. I believe you can get the same standard of food in many of the surrounding restaurants but with the added benefit of good, welcoming customer service...
